County has always had an active Volunteerism initiative within its
United Way. In the year ended March 31, 2010, 4,305 residents of Ottawa County collecively gave 36,177 hours of service to their neighbors, communities, and nonprofit organizations. The "value" of all that volunteerism topped $712,687.
